Sahiwal: Cataract is a silent killer and timely treatment is the need of the hour. In relation to black cataract, a week will be celebrated from March 12 to March 18. While on March 15, a walk will be organized under the leadership of DHQ Teaching Hospital Principal Dr. Imran and MS Dr. Mushtaq Sipra. In charge eye department Sahiwal Teaching Hospital Professor Dr. Muhammad Rizwan said in his statement. He said that today it is the need of the hour to create awareness among the public about black cataracts so that the disease of black cataracts should not be ignored. If not treated, a person can lose sight forever. After the age of 40, check up with your doctor regarding black cataracts. Often patients come to us for treatment of itchy eyes. But in reality, black cataracts start to fall in their eyes. Every man and woman above the age of forty should get their eyes checked by their doctor to avoid eye diseases as well as cataracts. When a person sight is lost due to black cataract, it does not come back. I would like to advise the public that eyes are a great blessing of Allah and it is your duty to take care of them. A walk in DHQ hospital will also be arranged.
