Multan: South Punjab Secretariat has prepared a new strategy for cleanliness and beautification of big cities. Streets of cities will be made model streets through sponsorship. In this regard, steps have been taken to establish model streets in Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan Cities. In the first phase, it has been decided to convert Jilani Road in Multan into a model road. Funds for the project will be provided by Multan Natural Sheep Casing Association. A delegation led by Multan Natural Sheep Casing Association’s President Muhammad Ramzan Bhutta met Additional Secretary Coordination South Punjab Mohammad Farooq Dogar in his office. Mian Abrar Ahmed, Javed Qureshi, Muhammad Kamran and Amir Javed were included in the delegation. Manager Operations Multan Waste Management Company Anwar-ul- Haq was also present in the meeting.
Additional Secretary South Punjab Muhammad Farooq Dogar speaking on this occasion said that Jilani Road will be converted into model road in terms of cleanliness and beautification. He said plantations will be done along both side of the road, community will be mobilized, Multan Waste Management Company will depute special staff to clean the road and dust bins will be installed at different places. Additional Secretary said the road renovation design will be prepared by PHA. He said making Jilani Road a model road will inspire other citizens as well and will motivate them to participate. He said under the direction of Secretary Local Government South Punjab, the streets will be converted into model streets in other cities of the region also. Muhammad Farooq Dogar has appealed the citizens to come forward and support the government in making their streets clean and beautiful.
