‘No nation can rise to the top unless its women work alongside men’

Vehari: No nation can rise to the top unless its women work side by side with men. The purpose of celebrating International Women’s Day is not to adopt the flaws and evils of western life. We should provide our women with at least the quality and dignity that they are entitled to in the light of Islamic teachings. These views were expressed by Deputy Commissioner vehari Syed Asif Ali Shah, DPO Mohammad Essa Khan, SP Investigation Rubina Abbas, Principal Education University Dr. Israr Ahmed, President Bar Liaquat Sanpal, District President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Women’s Wing Saima Noreen, Dr. Arshad Mahmood and Shahid Mahmood Mirza also addressed the awareness seminars organized by District Administration, Pakistan Civil Society Forum District Wahari, Police Department and District Bar on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The district administration organized a seminar on International Women’s Day at the University of Education Wahari campus in collaboration with the Women Development Department. Special Deputy Commissioner Syed Asif Hussain Shah was the guest of the seminar. On this occasion, Principal University of Education Wahari Campus Professor Dr. Sheikh Israr Ahmed, Deputy Director Information Mian Naeem Asim, Manager Women Working Hostel Sadia Aslam, besides faculty members of University of Education, doctors, nursing staff, women police officers, rescue women. A large number of officers and students were also present. Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Commissioner Syed Asif Hussain Shah said that the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is to empower women economically by giving them information technology and digital education.

International Women’s Day aims to provide opportunities to highlight the role of all stakeholders in improving access to digital tools. And to make women socially, politically, economically and socially stable. The deal is to create awareness in the society to ensure the protection of women’s rights. Earlier, DPO Mohammad Isa Khan and SP Rubina Abbas said that they are always ready to protect the life and property of the people while saluting the brave women police personnel and said that the Punjab government is fully committed to the welfare of women. Steps are being taken. The Quaid-i-Azam had said that a nation cannot reach its peak until its women are busy working alongside men.
