ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi urged youth and students on Tuesday to develop their intellectual capacities and contribute to the nation’s development. In order to help the nation address the socioeconomic challenges it is currently facing, he said it was crucial to improve intellectual resources as well as IT knowledge and skills.

While speaking to the staff and students of the Cadet College in Jaffarabad, Balochistan, who had come to see him at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the president shared these opinions. The president emphasized the value of education, saying that nations had advanced by putting an emphasis on science and education. Despite the fact that the region’s countries had nearly 100% primary enrolment rates, he regretted that 22 million children were not in school, noting that measurable changes could be made.

In order to strengthen the nation’s economy, he also emphasized the importance of providing the youth with skills and education. According to the president, Pakistan’s natural and human resources hold great potential and should be fully utilized for the improvement of the nation. Balochistan, he claimed, was rich in natural resources and that efforts were being made to put it on par with other provinces. In order to lessen the effects of floods and other natural disasters, he emphasized the necessity of building dams and water storage. The college administration was also urged by the president to provide students with training in cutting-edge technologies like the Internet of Things, robotics, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence, which have widespread applications in every field.
