Attaullah Tarar, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Interior, emphasized that former judges should avoid politics and let elected officials handle the nation’s political affairs.
He claimed that false cases had previously been filed against the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz government while speaking at a press conference held here on Monday. He cited how Imran Khan’s administration’s excessive delays in judicial orders had delayed a number of projects, ultimately driving up costs. In addition, Tarar claimed that Imran Khan had benefited improperly from efforts to remove former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from office. He claimed that Imran Khan was making every effort to disprove the allegations made against him.
Tarar also expressed disappointment about the delays in the important public interest project of the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) and other important projects.
Meanwhile, the Lahore High Court has dismissed a contempt petition against Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, declaring it not maintainable.
