Sherry Rehman demands courts to take notice of ‘Imran’s lies’

ISLAMABAD: Senator Sherry Rehman, the federal minister for climate change, demanded on Monday that Imran Khan be given strict notice for lying and obstructing legal and police proceedings.

Imran Khan, the PTI chairman who talked about upholding the law, lied, according to the federal minister. “This is the same person who in the past used political opponents as a form of payback,” said Senator Rehman. Asif Ali Zardari and all other politicians showed courage by making their arrests in fabricated cases. She continued by saying that every time she wanted to halt legal and judicial proceedings, Imran Khan hid behind his party members. She claimed that Imran Khan was so terrified of being arrested that he ignored police court summons.

The Minister claimed that Imran Khan had hid in the Zamanat Park (also known as bail park) to avoid capture, and the police had been shown an empty room. Sherry Rehman continued by saying that Imran addressed his party members on morality and the rule of law after the police had left. She concluded, “He demands different law and justice for the entire nation and another one for himself. Senator Sherry Rehman, the federal minister for climate change, vehemently denounced the Bolan suicide bombing attack on Monday. She offered her support and prayers to the families of the Balochistan Constabulary members who were killed in action in a statement made here. She prayed as well for the injured personnel’s quick recovery.
