President appoints Malik Abdul Wali Kakar as Balochistan governor

ISLAMABAD: Malik Abdul Wali Kakar was appointed governor of Balochistan on Friday by President Dr. Arif Alvi. In accordance with Articles 48(1) and 101 of the Constitution, the president made the appointment on the prime minister’s recommendation.

Meanwhile, seperately, on Friday, President Dr. Arif Alvi sent the electricity generation bill back to the parliament for revision. The President House announced in a statement that the “Electricity Generation, Transmission and Distribution (Amendment) Bill 2022″ had been sent back to the legislature. On the prime minister’s recommendation and in accordance with Articles 48(1) and 75(1) of the Constitution, the president remitted the bill.
