Govt will have to hold elections: Sheikh Rasheed

RAWALPINDI: Former federal interior minister and Pakistan Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has stated that Maryam Nawaz’s ridiculous and childish demands will not be met, and that the government will be forced to hold elections.


Sheikh Rasheed stated that the PTI received historic votes in Rajanpur. The language used by Bilawal and Maryam against the judges demonstrates their fear of the upcoming elections. On the one hand, they demand a full court, while on the other, they demand the removal of the two judges. Rashid stated that the Chief Justice has confirmed that the President can also announce the election date. “The Supreme Court is on the verge of making an important decision.

“The President has expressed his dissatisfaction with the Attorney General and has appointed Salman Raja as his replacement,” he added. The former minister went on to say that while the current government uses slogans about saving money [for the country], 85 ministers are reaping the benefits. Unneeded ministers have spent Rs65 crore on unnecessary trips, not including Bilawal’s expenses.
