ISLAMABAD: In order to enhance the power transmission and load management systems in time for the summer, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered on Tuesday.
During a review meeting to talk about load management and power transmission, the prime minister asked the relevant departments to create a detailed plan before the start of the summer. Before summer arrived, he gave the order to complete the plan for better power transmission and load management as soon as possible. The prime minister demanded that there be no more than minimal load shedding during the upcoming Holy Ramzan, noting that it was encouraging that the share of alternative energy and domestic fuels in power generation was rising, reducing reliance on foreign fuels and, ultimately, the import bill.
Prime Minister Shehbaz, who was given a briefing on power generation and load management, called for urgent measures to fully operationalise the Haveli Bahadur Shah Power Plant.
