ISLAMABAD: Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Speaker of the National Assembly (NA), stated on Tuesday that Pakistanis living abroad play a crucial role in the socioeconomic development of the nation.
In a meeting with a group of overseas Pakistanis led by the minister for overseas Pakistanis and human resource development, Sajid Hussain Turi, he shared these opinions. The speaker expressed his appreciation for the overseas Pakistanis’ commitment and labor of love in maintaining the nation’s development. He claimed that the current government was taking all necessary steps to ensure the welfare of Pakistanis living abroad, and he added that encouraging skilled workers to work abroad would benefit both Pakistan and the host nation’s socioeconomic development.
He emphasized the importance of giving people the chance to learn new skills, particularly in the area of modern technology, so they can land suitable jobs abroad. The speaker added that the current parliament had prioritized resolving the concerns of Pakistanis living abroad because “remittances sent by overseas Pakistani bring economic stability in the country.” The minister praised the NA speaker’s concern and support for the welfare of Pakistanis living abroad. Additionally, he provided information on significant government initiatives that will help Pakistanis living abroad and improve the labor force’s skill level. He declared that the current administration would keep working hard to facilitate and address the problems faced by Pakistanis living abroad.
