ISLAMABAD: Syed Naveed Qamar, the Federal Minister for Commerce, and Mitsuhiro Wada, the Japanese ambassador to Pakistan, on Thursday, signed the minutes of the 7th Pak-Japan Joint Government Business Dialogue.
The document was signed by the Japanese ambassador on behalf of Ryuji Satomi, the parliamentary vice-minister of economy, trade, and industry, according to a press release from the ministry of commerce. Federal Minister Syed Naveed Qamar expressed gratitude to the Japanese government for its ongoing support during the recent floods and emphasized the importance of Japan as a trading partner of Pakistan. According to Ambassador Wada Mitsuhiro, Japan places a high value on its relationship with Pakistan and is fully committed to fostering further development in all areas of shared interest.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening both countries’ economic ties. The 7th session of the Joint Business Dialogue, a regular exchange between Pakistan and Japan at the government and business levels, took place on September 29, 2022, in Islamabad.
