ISLAMABAD: Faisal Karim Kundi, who holds the status of Minister of State and is the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, stated on Thursday that the coalition government had made difficult choices to prevent the country’s economy from going into default. Speaking at a press conference, the SAPM declared that the coalition government was fully aware of the suffering caused by inflation and was committed to alleviating it. According to him, the country was dealing with serious economic problems as a result of the previous administration’s ineffective policies, which included an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that was approved by the parliament. He claimed that “the country knows who is accountable for the current economic crisis in the nation.”
The government of Imran Khan made bad decisions that disrupted the nation’s economy. “We are accountable to the people and want to give them every relief we can because we have to run for office, but such decisions were unavoidable for dealing with the current economic crisis,” he said. Faisal Kundi criticized Imran Khan’s assertions that a foreign conspiracy existed against him and claimed that by shifting the source of the conspiracy from the United States to “Rawalpindi,” the PTI chairman had brought international libel against Pakistan. He stated, “He [Imran] is claiming that it was not an American conspiracy, but rather some other forces were behind that.”
