Privatization of WAPDA protested

Vehari: Against the privatization of WAPDA, WAPDA employees from across the district staged a dharna in front of Mapco Complex Vehari. The protest demonstration and sit-in was led by Divisional Chairman Sarfraz Jhedu, Divisional Secretary Rao Asif and Zonal Secretary Muhammad Sabir. Meanwhile, Dozens WAPDA employees including Muhammad Akram, Chaudhry Ghulam Mustafa, Muhammad Rashid, and Chaudhry Abdul Waheed also raised slogans in favor of their demands. Addressing the protesters, the speakers said that the privatization of WAPDA cannot be tolerated. The future of thousands of families is at risk.

Against privatization, WAPDA employees along with their children will come out on the streets and raise their voice for their rights. The protesters further said that WAPDA is not a loser in any respect. Rather, the real reason for this loss is the extravagance of the rulers. Which are causing problems for the country and nation. The protesters demanded the government not to privatize WAPDA. WAPDA employees from across the district also staged a protest dharna in front of Mapco Complex.
