Efforts afoot to improve public service delivery: Additional Chief Secretary

Multan: Under the direction of Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab, Capt.(Retd) Saqib Zafar, measures have been accelerated to improve public service delivery. A complaint cell has been established to resolve complaints received on print, electronic and social media. A mechanism for immediate action has also been prepared on written complaints sent to Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab. A meeting was held at South Punjab Secretariat to review the mechanism for redressal of public grievances. Meeting was attended by Deputy Secretary Abdul Saboor Thakur, Staff Officer to Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab Adeel Khan, Section Officer Coordination Wajiha Rasool, PRO Asghar Khan and Protocol Officer Taimoor Aslam. It was decided in the meeting that apart from direct application based on public complaints, the media will be monitored, their records will be prepared and time line will be set for redressal of grievances. In addition, coordination will be established with South Punjab Secretaries, Assistant Commissioners and heads of all departments for redressal of public grievances.
