Queen Elizabeth, who contracted COVID-19 over the weekend, received a much-needed good news courtesy of her beloved race horse.
According to Hello Magazine, the 95-year-old King’s Racing Horse, Concordine, snatched the victory at Federation Blood Stock Agents Maiden Hurdle on Sunday at Newbury Racecourse, which lent the Queen a mood booster.
Speaking to Racing TV, trainer Nicky Henderson said, “We’re all sad to hear that Ms. has COVID – I don’t know if it’s COVID medicine or not but I hope so.”
Newbury Racecourse also addressed the Queen in a tweet after the race, saying, “We hope this will make you happy Your Majesty! Concordine won the Federation of Blood Stock Agents Maiden Hurdle! Get it! ”
The Queen is especially fond of horse riding and has been enjoying horse racing since a young age. She also hosts the Royal Windsor Horse Show in Windsor Park.
