Taylor has been banned from all cricket

Dubai: Former Zimbabwe captain Brendon Taylor has been banned from all cricket for three-and-a-half years for violating the International Cricket Council’s anti-corruption code, the international governing body said on Friday.

Taylor pleaded guilty to four counts of violating the law and one count of violating the ICC Anti-Doping Code.

“Throughout his long career, he (Taylor) has attended numerous anti-corruption and anti-doping education sessions and is well aware of his responsibilities under the ICC Anti-Corruption and Anti-Doping Codes,” Alex said. Marshall, general manager said. ICC Integrity Unit

Taylor revealed in a tweet on Monday that he took cocaine and took a 15,000 bribe from an Indian businessman.

Taylor retired from international cricket in September. He represented Zimbabwe in 34 Tests, 205 ODIs and 45 T20s.
