Shaheen Shah Afridi has been named the winner of the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Player of the Year in 2021. He took 78 wickets at an average of 22.20 in 36 international matches and bowled well with 6/51.

He had a year to remember especially in Tests and T20I, culminating in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the UAE where he impressed everyone with his speed and skill.
