LAHORE: Flight operations were affected at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore on Wednesday due to heavy fog as several flights were diverted to Islamabad
Flights were diverted due to falling visibility up to 500 meters on the runway.
The flight of private airline IF-341 from Najaf to Lahore was not allowed to land at Lahore Airport and was diverted to Islamabad by the Air Traffic Controller (ATC). PA-413 coming from Sharjah was also not allowed to land at Lahore Airport and was diverted to Islamabad.
PK302 flight from Karachi to Lahore and PIA flight PK303 from Karachi to Lahore were also canceled.
Various cities of Punjab including Lahore have been enveloped in fog which has paralyzed daily life and disrupted roads and air traffic.
