A woman was martyred in India’s unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday.
“Indian troops carried out unprovoked deliberate firing on civilian population in Bhimber sector,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement. “Resultantly, Munazza Bibi embraced martyrdom.”
“She was a mother of two,” the military’s media wing added. “Pakistani troops engaged Indian posts.”
On Wednesday, a youth, identified as Haroon, was martyred following heavy shelling by Indian troops in the Leepa valley of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).
Pakistan has repeatedly condemned increasing ceasefire violations by Indian forces due to which, several civilians have lost their lives.
Islamabad has been urging New Delhi to respect the 2003 ceasefire arrangement, investigate the incidents of ceasefire violations, instruct Indian forces to respect the ceasefire in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC. However, the violation of the truce has still been continuing.
