NEPRA LIKELY TO INCREASE RS5.50 PER UNIT TARIFF FOR KE CONSUMERS
ISLAMABAD: Under the fuel cost adjustment for three months, the price of electricity is expected to increase by Rs 5.50 per unit for consumers
A hearing on KE’s request by K Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will be held today (Monday).
According to the details, KE’s proposed adjustment application and Multi-Air Tariff (MYT) 2017-2023 with reference to the Authority’s Monthly Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA) for the November 2021 Monthly Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA). Will take for the quarterly adjustment ending September 2021. .
KE has requested an increase of Rs 0.32 for FCA for November 2021 and Rs 5.18 for quarterly adjustment (July to September 2021).
NEPRA has invited all concerned and affected parties to raise legitimate objections under the law.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson denied the reports of an increase of Rs 5.50 per unit, adding that the only electric supply company in Karachi had requested an increase of 31 paise per unit in terms of fuel adjustment.
