Gwadar: The Meteorological Department on Monday forecast torrential rains with strong winds in coastal areas of Balochistan, ARY News reported.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said in its weather report that the rains in the coastal belt of Balochistan will start from today and end by January 6.
The provincial fisheries department has advised fishermen not to go to sea during bad weather. Fishermen should refrain from going fishing in the sea for four days.
“In bad weather, boats should be anchored in safe places to avoid damage,” the department said.
It rained in most parts of Balochistan including Quetta while snow fell in Ziarat and Kan Mehtarzai.
The minimum temperature dropped to 03 degrees Celsius in Quetta against the backdrop of cold winds. Mercury fell to minus 2 in Kalat and minus 4 in Ziarat.
According to the weather forecast, more rain and snowfall is expected in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan during the next 24 hours.
