ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Wednesday that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) of opposition was not a threat to the ruling government and has practically ended.
While chairing a joint parliamentary party meeting of PTI and its allied parties, the premier said the opposition parties have done their best efforts in their rallies and all the march activities but they in vain. People have rejected them.
PM Imran further said that complete inquiry into Hudaibiya Paper Mills will also be carried out. Also, the participants of the session discussed strategy for upcoming Senate elections.
Prime Minister also took the parliamentary party members into confidence regarding important decisions taken by the government. The members also informed the Prime Minister about the problems of their constituencies. PM also said that all the members of the public should give importance on the Ehsaas Program. He also asked for parliament members to visit shelter homes, provide facilities to the poor. “If the country’s poor are taken care of, the rest of the issues will get resolved too,“ he said. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday stressed expediting the development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said he would personally visit the province to review the progress. The Prime Minister expressed these views in a meeting with KPK Governor Shah Farman, who called on him here. Earlier, at the same day, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Shibli Faraz said that every party in PDM is part of the alliance for its own interest, saying the group will never have unity within its ranks. In answer to a question, about Pakistan People’s Party’s planned no-confidence motion against Prime Minister, he said, “The PPP and PML-N both have different points of view in this regard and they seem divided.”
