90% agreement reached on Constitutional reforms: Senator Siddiqui

Muslim League of Pakistan-N With almost 90% of agreements in place, Senator Irfan Siddiqui has expressed optimism that significant progress has been made on judicial appointments and constitutional revisions. He hopes that reforms will begin in both chambers in the coming days.

According to the senator, the Constitutional Package’s judicial reforms have advanced significantly under the leadership of the three main parties: the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI). A private news outlet was informed of this development by a PML-N lawmaker.

He continued, “Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has also expressed its support for constitutional reforms, with certain conditions.”

“Specifically, MQM has linked its support to stronger local government provisions,” he said.

He claimed that Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal, and Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, the leader of the JUI-F, had important meetings.
