3 cops martyred in terrorist attack

Following an attack on the local police headquarters in the Tank  district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two policemen were injured and  three policemen were martyred, according to authorities on Friday. The casualties were confirmed by Tank District Police Officer  Iftikhar Ali Shah. He informed the reporters that one of the deceased was a sub-inspector. The officer claimed that after one of the militants detonated himself at the police office and residence block’s main entrance, the other  militants broke in. DPO Shah stated, “Our force on guard engaged them in a gun battle for hours.” Three of the attackers, according to KP Inspector General Akhtar  Hayat, were slain. DPO Shah stated that a search was underway to find further  terrorists and that he was present at the scene of the incident.
