When President Asif Ali Zardari and Russian President Vladimir Putin met on Friday, they placed a strong focus on advancing their bilateral ties.The conversation took place informally on the fringes of a two-day international event themed “Interrelation of Times and Civilizations-Basis for Peace and Development” in the capital of Turkmenistan, in honour of the 300th birthday of renowned Turkmen philosopher, poet, and thinker Magtymguly Faragi.According to a press release from the President’s House, the two leaders sent each other well wishes.The Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Tajik President Emomali Rehmon and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, and others were present at the Forum earlier today. The president arrived here on Thursday for a two-day visit.
