At the Shamaz-e-Janaza of Shaheed Captain Faraz Ilyas in Kasur on Monday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was present. Captain Ilyas was martyred in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in District Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Attaullah Tarar, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, the Inspector General of Police of Punjab, along with several high-ranking military personnel, civil officials, and locals, attended the burial prayer.

The prime minister also visited with the Shaheed Captain’s parents and offered his condolences.

He declared that the area where the fallen officer was born would become a model community and would be called “Faraz Ilyas Shaheed.”

He prayed for the mourning family to have the strength to endure the loss and assured the parents that their son’s sacrifice would not be in vain.
