The incident involving the fire on customs personnel on Sunday within the boundaries of Dera Ismail Khan Police Station was sharply denounced by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

In addition to expressing his deep sympathies to the families of the martyrs, the minister lamented the loss of three customs workers in the attack. He prayed for the wounded to heal quickly and for the martyrs.

Inspector Hasnain Tarndi and Constable Ziad Khan were identified as the martyred cops, and Amir was identified as the civilian.

He expressed gratitude to the officials who gave their lives to stop illicit smuggling and promised that the martyrs’ immense sacrifices would not be in vain.

He declared that there will be no forgiveness for smugglers.
