PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto stated on Wednesday that Pakistan would advance on all fronts, including the democratic system and judiciary, as a result of the landmark decision rendered by the Supreme Court regarding the Bhutto reference. The PPP chairman declared, “After 44 years, history is going to be corrected.” He cited Bhutto’s hanging on April 4, 1979, which occurred decades ago, and the fact that both the party and his family have been characterising the action as judicial murder ever since. The grandson of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the first elected prime minister of Pakistan, Bilawal claimed in an interview with media following the sharing of the ruling by a nine-member bench that the court had acknowledged that Bhutto had not received a fair trial.
