Held under the direction of Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, the Pakistan Navy’s Command & Staff Conference came to an end here on Thursday. According to a Pakistan Navy news release, topics including combat readiness, national security, geostrategic concerns, and force training were covered at the meeting. Due to the continuous turmoil in the Middle East, the conference evaluated the changing maritime situation in the region. The deployment of Pakistan Navy ships for the security of Pakistan’s commerce ships was debated in light of the current maritime conditions in the Middle East. The direction forward was discussed and the status of Pakistan Navy projects, including future plans, was examined. In order to successfully counter any invasion against Pakistan, the Naval Chief stressed the importance of maintaining constant combat readiness.
