The World Health Organisation and the Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination collaborated on Monday to renovate 464 medical facilities nationwide, marking a significant advancement towards the government’s “top agenda” goal of Universal Health Coverage. In this regard, the PM House hosted a ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the health ministry and the World Health Organisation. The occasion also marked the delivery of medical equipment, including mobile clinics, ambulances, and vaccination vans, valued at over Rs 2 billion. The signing of the document by WHO Representative in Pakistan Dr. Palitha Mahipala and Secretary of Health Iftikhar Ali Shallwani was observed by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and Caretaker Health Minister Dr. Nadeem Jan.
