In the upper belt of Neelum Valley, on Wednesday, a passenger jeep crashed into the cold Neelum River, killing at least 13 people—mostly women and children—and injuring four more.
About eleven in the morning, a jeep skidded off the highway and into the Neelum River, causing an accident. There were three children and four women among the deceased.
Rescue personnel arrived at the accident scene as soon as the incident was reported and got to work on the rescue.
The injured were taken to a local hospital for medical attention, while the remains were moved to a mortuary for medico-legal proceedings by the rescue crews.
At least six individuals, including women and children, had died in a similar tragedy that had occurred in Neelum Valley.
