Ahsan Iqbal, the minister of planning, has underlined the significance of implementing cutting-edge technologies to address the problems of food poverty and water scarcity.
Speaking at a seminar in Islamabad on Monday, he described climate change as Pakistan’s greatest issue, stating that given the severity of the situation, we must put aside political digressions.
According to him, Pakistan bears the brunt of climate catastrophes while having the smallest carbon output in the world.
Highlighting the government’s efforts to solve the complex issues to the country’s irrigation system, Ahsan Iqbal said the government has allocated 12.2 percent of the PSDP to water resources in the current fiscal year despite economic challenges.
