0.49 million families to get free flour in Bahawalnagar: Deputy Commissioner Salman Khan

Bahawalnagar: Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar Salman Khan Lodhi has said that according to the instructions of the Punjab government, 12 lakh 29 thousand 601 bags of ten kg flour will be provided free of charge to 4 lakh 9 thousand 867 families in five tehsils of Bahawalnagar district, for this purpose, 124 grocery stores, 25 trucking points and 78 utility stores will be provided to the deserving families.  Free will is given.  For the first time in the history of the country, free flour is being provided to the poor people in the spirit of Ramadan.  Eligible persons registered with the program and PSPA should SMS their identity card number to 8070.  On receipt of confirmation, go to the respective point along with the identity card to get the flour for free.  According to Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar, 22 utility stores, 57 grocery stores and 6 trucking points have been constructed in Bahawalnagar city for 130646 families.  16 utility stores, 42 grocery stores and 5 trucking points have been established for 96942 families in Tehsil Chishtian.  Similarly, arrangements have been made for free supply of flour to 42809 families at 9 utility stores and 4 trucking points in Fort Abbas.  Further, 19 utility stores, 11 grocery stores and 4 trucking points in 58258 families in Haroonabad, 12 utility stores, 14 grocery stores and 6 trucking points have been set up to deliver free flour to 81212 families in Minchinabad.  The bags will be provided absolutely free and one bag of ten kg at a time and after eight days the second and third bag will be given free of cost and digital technology is being used to maintain transparency so that the free flour reaches the beneficiaries and may they get relief in the best way in the joys of Ramadan.
